Writer. Strategist. Storyteller for small business owners who want content that actually works.

I’m Rebecca, a writer, speaker, and content strategist who helps solopreneurs and small business owners create intentional, sustainable content that feels good to share.

For more than sixteen years, I’ve worked with clients who want to show up consistently without feeling like marketing has taken over their life. My approach is practical and human. I help you create content that supports your business goals and fits into your real schedule.

I believe your content should feel like an extension of your business, not a burden.

Together, we’ll turn the page on overthinking, posting without purpose, and creating without clarity. The story behind what I do

The story behind what I do

From parent blogger to trusted content strategist.

In 2009, I started my first blog, A Little Bit of Momsense. It began as a creative outlet while I was home with my kids. What started as a few late-night posts grew into a community, partnerships with national brands like Fisher Price, Kraft Canada, and Gay Lea, and a full career built around writing and storytelling.

In 2011, a local business owner asked for help with their social media. I said yes, even though I could only work between nine and eleven at night. That project turned into many more, and before I knew it, I was helping small businesses and solopreneurs across Canada share their stories and find their voice online.

Beyond the business, a little more about me.

I live in Ottawa with my family and love supporting local. I plan most activities around food, drink too much coffee, and always have a stack of books on the go. I’m a mom of two and a lifelong storyteller who believes that good content starts with real connection.

my approach

Content with intention, not for algorithms.

Content with intention, not for algorithms.

I’ve seen how often small business owners feel pressure to show up everywhere. But effective content doesn’t need to be constant. It needs to be intentional.

I help you find a rhythm that works for your life and your goals. Together, we focus on long-form content like blogs, newsletters, and podcasts that build visibility over time and continue to work for you long after they are published.

  • My approach is simple.

  • No one-size-fits-all templates.

  • No reliance on AI.

Just thoughtful, strategic content that sounds like you and supports your business in a way that feels sustainable.

Experience that backs it up

Sixteen years of experience in writing, strategy, and speaking.

Over the years, I’ve written for national publications, appeared on television, spoken at conferences, and worked with clients across industries. Whether you are running a solo business or managing a growing organization, my goal is to help you feel confident about your message and how you share it.

Speaking and media highlights include:

  • Guest expert at BlogJam Atlantic, Blissdom Canada, Social Capital Conference, and more
  • Former columnist for SavvyMom and MediaSmarts
  • TV appearances on CTV Ottawa Morning Live
  • Podcast guest on This Mother Means Business, Teacher Hustle Podcast, and others
